Stay up to date with new Triple P Research Blog

The Triple P Research blog has just been launched by the University of Queensland’s Parenting and Family Support Centre (PFSC).

The blog (www.triplepblog.net) aims to keep readers up to date with the latest news on the use of family interventions as a prevention and treatment strategy, including the potential for community-wide deployment to improve the health and well being of children, their families and the community.

Continuous evaluation of the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is conducted by leading researchers around the world as well as those based at the PFSC.

“Ongoing research into the Triple P system has just reached an important milestone with the publication of the most extensive meta-analysis of Triple P to date in Clinical Psychology Review, and this is the topic of one of our first blog posts,” Professor Matt Sanders, director of the University of Queensland’s Parenting and Family Support Centre and founder of and founder of the Triple P system, said.

The meta-analysis investigated data from reported outcomes of 16,009 families who have participated in a Tripe P program over the past 33 years. One of the major findings is that all delivery methods of Triple P – as well as the full suite of intervention levels – produce significant effects for children and their families.

“The work of thousands of people around the world who have been involved in the dissemination of the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program has taken us to this point,” Prof Sanders added.
